Thandai is very famous refreshing drink of people in India. It consists of lots of flavorful spices. People in India taste the beverage flavorful thandai mostly in summer when the rays of sun on its peak basically in north India.
Refreshing drinks are very much good for health and energized the body the whole day. It consists of melon seeds, almonds, cashews, pistachios, detox, cardamom etc. It helps to boost up your immune system and protect your body from diseases related to summer.
Spices like cinnamon, pepper, saffron, poppy seeds and rose petals keeps the body cool and digestion friendly. Mostly in North Indian people consumes Flavorful Thandai in many occasion and festival like in Maha Shivratri and Holla Mohalla days. There are varities of thandai named badaam (almond) thandai, bhang thandai, kesar(saffron) thandai, rose thandai and paan thandai.
Beverage Flavorful Thandai Recipe Time

- 1 liter milk
- 4 tbsp almonds
- 3 tbsp Cashew nuts
- 2 tbsp melon seeds
- 3 tbsp Pistachios
- 2 tbsp Poppy seeds (khus khus )
- 2 pinch Saffron (kesar)
- 1 tbsp dry rose petal or (gulkand )
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 10 black peppercone
- 1 cup Sugar
- Green Cardamom
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
How to make Kesar Thandai Paste?
Take an empty bowl and add all the dry fruits like almonds, cashew nut, melon seeds and pistachios. Thus keep it soak in water overnight so that soak well.
Soak all the dry fruits in water whole night. Now make a fine paste in blender jar. Now our paste is ready to make beverage flavorful thandai.
How to make Thandai Masala at home?
Take an empty jar to make powder of thandai. We will blend all the spices which we have like pepper cone, rose petal, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, in a jar. Blend it to make a fine powder and leave the paste aside for some time.
Method to make Beverage Thandai
Step 1 First of all turn on the gas and add whole milk to it and boil well.
Step 2 Add sugar to the boiling milk. After adding sugar put the thandai paste, which we made it before and kept it overnight mixing, and cook for while.
Step 3 After thandai come out from pan take it off the flame and it for cooling for a while, also at that time add the spices of thandai keep whisking then cool it in fridge for 2 hours.
Step 4 Then put the flame off and thandai out from pan and it for cooling for a while. Then additional the flaourful thandai masala in thandai whisking cool it in fridge for 2 hours.
