Chicken Chili Recipe

Chicken Chili is one of the most famous dishes in India. Long time ago Chinese came in India and settle down their colony. They open up a restaurant here at that time they introduced this dish which were cooked in furnace. This dish was introduced during Indo-Chinese era. This recipe accepted by many people in India and become popular. Now we see many varieties of dishes in vegetarian like chili paneer, chili potato and white chicken chili recipe in non-veg etc.

Chili chicken is spicy sour crispy, we use it as appetizer made with garlic, onion, capsicum, and chicken. Some people think chicken chili filled with spices but that’s not true most of the children like it. We can make it easily at home by putting very different things in it like potato cottage cheese, lamb meat, toadstool (mushroom) etc

You don’t have to work hard as most of the Chinese food recipes cook quickly and instantly. To make Chicken Chili Recipe you don’t need to watch and read much about it. You can make it in many ways and add more things to it. You can put a lot of vegetable to it to make it delicious. As we all know green vegetables are beneficial for health. Leave oil if you are health conscious. Do not fry Chicken chili in oil just marinate with dry spices and green vegetable.

Chicken Chili Recipe Time

Ingredients   

  • 1 pound Boneless chicken
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 table spoon ginger
  • 1 table spoon garlic
  • 2 medium capsicums
  • 1 tea spoon salt
  • 1 ½ tablespoon Soya sauce
  • ½ Black pepper
  • 1 1/2 spoon Red chili paste/green chili sauce
  • 2 table spoon tomato sauce
  • 1 table spoon vinegar
  • 1 table spoon Corn starch
  • ½ teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 1/2 Refined flour (optional)
  • 2 slit Green chili (Optional)
  • 1 Egg
  • MSG (Ajinomoto) (optional)
  • 1 cup Normal water (as required)
  • ½ cup Chicken stock (optional)

Preparation of Chicken Chili

To make boneless chicken chili recipe take a bowl to wash chicken well in water. Cut it into small pieces of chunks. You could use thigh of chicken as well. Now we will start marination process.

Take a bowl to add thin layer of chicken and be make sure it does not remain too thick for coating. We put salt, red chili powder, half  teaspoon ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, little vinegar and egg white. Leave the marination for around half an hour.

Come to make a batter of cornstarch or Maida juice. Now we will add black pepper, salt, all other ingredients to it and check whether it did not become dry. Make sure the mixture become lumps free and the chicken being rubbed well with paste and keep it aside for some time.

Method to Cook Chicken Chili Recipe at home

Step 1: First, take cubed size medium onion, capsicum and green chili fine chopped. Leave it on the other hand then turn the flame on and pour oil in wok for deep frying.

Step 2: Add marinated chicken inside and separate it so that it does not stick. it should be well brown and crispy from both sides. When it becomes crispy then let the chicken pieces came out from the oil and keep it dry using tissue paper.

Step 3: Beside this on the other hand turn on the flame pour little bit sesame oil in wok. Keep it until heat and keep in water for half an hour for more tender. Add ginger and garlic paste to it for a while until color change to light brown.  

Step 4: Add capsicum and onion then tossed it for 5 second. Add all spices like red chili sauce or green chili as per required, soya sauce, tomato sauce, black pepper powder.  

Step 5: Then make corn starch liquid pour it with chicken stock for flavors, to enhance taste to make it succulent.  

Step 6: Sprinkle with spring onion and sesame seeds then serve hot with rice and noodles.

Note: Do not cook too much for children so that it too hard to eat. Chicken should be moderate & succulent .
